MAVRODAPHNE OF PATRAS

The “Mavrodaphne of Patras” wine rightfully encompasses the highest quality class in Greece, as the Mavrodaphne grape variety has all the potential to provide exceptional sweet wines.

Mavrodaphne Karela is produced from wining 100% “Mavrodaphne” variety grapes, when the law allows using just 50% currants to produce “Mavrodaphne of Patras”. The vines are grown within a specific geographic area and the wine produced falls in the Protected Designation of Origin PDO category.

Muscat of Patras

Muscat Karela is produced from vines that grow up on the hills of Lousika, a semi-montaneus area close to our Firm’s winery in Kato Achaia, Peloponnese, Greece. Muscat of Patras is a “Protected Destination of Origin” wine. This quality wine is produced only in specific areas of Achaia. Alcohol is added during fermentation under Custom’s and National’s Chemical Laboratory’s control. After tasting and quality control the wine obtains the permission to be called “Muscat of Patras” The harvest of Muscat variety in Achaia region takes place in the middle of August and the grape capacity is max 1000 kilos per 0.1 Hectare


 

 

Regional dry wines - Protected Geographical Indication

 

Achais white dry

This table wine is produced from grapes of the Roditis and Muscat varieties. Our winery is located in the area of Kato Achaia, Peloponnese, close to the ancient town of Dimi also called Achais by Ecateos from Militos a famous Greek Historian. These varieties are cultivated at altitudes of 300 to 400 meters above sea level. There is a fine accompaniment to seafood, grilled white meats and first courses and it should be served at 10-12 Co.


 

 

Achais Red Dry

Red dry wine made by Merlot and Mavrodaphne varieties. It is produced in Western Achaia , an area that receives all beneficial effects of the Ionian sea.


 

 

Pelagos varietal wines

 

Pelagos White Dry

White dry wine made by Chardonnay and Malagouzia varieties. It is produced area of Western Achaia , an area that receives all beneficial effects of the Ionian sea.


 

 

Pelagos Red Dry

Red dry wine made by Merlot and Mavrodaphne varieties. It is produced in Western Achaia , an area that receives all beneficial effects of the Ionian sea.



 

Retsina Traditional Appelation

Retsina is a traditionally Greek wine. It is made by adding resin to a white or rose table wine. It’s unique flavor is said to have originated from the practice of sealing wine vessels, particularly amphorae with recin in ancient times. Our retsina is made by adding selected recin from the area of Perahora, Corinthia during the fermentation to a tasty and healthy white table wine of our production.
